Swisslog adopts ANT® localization

Swisslog, the Swiss global logistics provider, has presented to its customers the new ANT® based AGV solution during the Swisslog Logistics Day. The demonstration showed a typical block stacking application, which was enabled by the infrastructure free ANT® localization. With only two days to integrate the ANT® product into the vehicle and two additional days to prepare the demonstration, ANT® has shown again how quick and easy it is.

ANT® lite – already a success

The ANT® lite navigation product has been officially launched during the Hannover Messe in April. Today, with 50+ sales, ANT® lite already positions itself as a successful solution within the ANT® product line with a clear focus on service robotics applications.

A robot guide in the airport

The airport of Geneva is testing a new ANT® driven robot guiding passengers to the restroom, ATM, baggage claim and other services. The spokesman of the airport stated: “If this test is successful, the robot should soon be joined by some brothers”.
This collaboration with the airport of Geneva is a perfect application of the ANT® lite navigation product, which easily enables new service robotics applications.

The summer competition on our Facebook page has given its result: We received 24 names for the new robot guide. We had hard time to decide which name to choose, but we finally found the most appropriate both in term of meaning and corporate image. After RoboX and Gilberto, we welcome Guido in the BlueBotics guide’s family!

IROS 2012 – Vilamoura, Portugal

BlueBotics participated to the InnoKick competition, where professional in marketing, design and innovation support a group of students to come up with new applications based on the company’s product. The EasyPorter concept received the public price during the pitch presentation on September 26.

euRobotics for leadership

euroboticsEuropean robotics actors from private and public sector work together to take a larger share of the €15.5 billion annual global robotics market. Key industry and academia stakeholders have founded the euRobotics aisbl association on September 17, and the European Commission joined them on September 18 to launch the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in robotics to strengthen the European robotics sector. BlueBotics is one of the founding members.
